About Dr. Pardip Athwal – Chiropractor and Acupuncture Provider

I am a firm believer in the body’s innate ability to heal by releasing the restrictive patterns that we hold in our bodies and minds due to our daily stresses. We need to take care of ourselves first, so we can then be fully present to support our loved ones and enjoy our lives to the fullest! If given the right input, based on each of our individual needs, our bodies will relax, detoxify, and become pain-free, which allows our mind, spirit, and energy centers to be clear and calm. My name is Dr. Pardip Athwal, and I have been working in the healing and health care field for many years, and I still love it! I began my journey learning the basics of shiatsu therapy in 1998. In 2001, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, gaining a strong Western foundation in how the body works. After experiencing the immense benefits of acupuncture and chiropractic personally while in university, I knew my calling in life was to help others heal naturally. I gained knowledge of Eastern medicine through a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in 2001 from the SSC Acupuncture Institute in Toronto. I next went on to complete my Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 2005. I have also been trained in prescribing custom orthotics. My gypsy ways led me to explore and be mentored in acupuncture and chiropractic styles overseas in Ireland and Australia, before working in Toronto and Oakville. After one year in practice, I was humbled to have been voted as the Best Chiropractor in Oakville in 2007 by the community. After taking a craniosacral course to round out my practice through the Upledger Institute in Florida in 2008, I packed up my car and drove across the country, covering practices throughout Ontario for 6 months and BC for the next 6 months, gaining experience in many styles of practice. I finally had the urge to have a home base and started a life in Lethbridge, AB, in 2009. I am excited to have finally opened up my dream Wellness Centre in Lethbridge in March 2012. I was honoured to have been voted as the 3rd Best Chiropractor in Lethbridge for 2012. I have then voted #1 Best Chiropractor since opening my Wellness Centre in both 2013 and 2014 and placed again in the top 3 in 2016. I appreciate all of the votes from my amazing patients, whom I am grateful to have the opportunity to support on their health care journey. In February 2014, I completed my Yoga Teacher certification in Thailand and hope to add Yoga classes at Back In Balance Wellness Centre in the future. My passions include working with women through their pregnancies, with newborns and children, athletes, migraine and headache sufferers, and teaching people techniques to reduce stress in their lives. Education on your specific situation and how the treatment techniques work is a large part of the experience during your treatment sessions. I offer the experience of relaxation, pain reduction, and balance through your choice of chiropractic, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, or a combination of all three based on your body’s needs. These gentle treatments encourage whole-body health, in an approach that touches many levels of our experience while also being firmly grounded in the anatomy and physiology of the body. I would highly recommend this for anybody who suffers from headaches or migraines, tension and tightness, restricted joint and muscle movement, anxiety and stress. My education and experience allow me the ability to combine eastern and western views of health and varying treatment styles, allowing the wisdom of the body to be expressed. You will leave your session in a state of balance, bliss, and relaxation. About Makita French

I graduated from Lethbridge College with a diploma in Registered Massage Therapy in April 2015. I’d always loved the idea of being able to help people in a medical sense, and while at school I found a passion for massage therapy. With massage therapy, I can focus on helping my clients achieve their goals of relaxation or therapeutic rehabilitation and see the relief that comes with it, so they can enjoy the best parts of life. When I’m not working, I enjoy axe throwing with my friends and spending quality time with those around me, living life to the fullest. I can’t wait to start working with Dr. Pardip Athwal. Quote - “I’m thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength.” Clinic Hours Monday: 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Thursday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM One Saturday per month: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
